HOW TO GET HERE

CLOSEST AIRPORT: PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PDX). ABOUT 58 miles away.

Ubers and Lyfts can only be taken one way from pdx to hood river (very rare for ubers and lyfts to be available once you’re in the area). we highly recommend renting a car to really see what the area has to offer (disclaimer: you can always just stay in the downtown area but it is a very small town.)

Don’t want to rent a car? You can view some other public transportation options here or check out some of these taxi services below:

Accommodations

  • Hampton Inn

1 Nichols Parkway, Hood River, Oregon, 97031

Our first choice! Near downtown (only a 9 min walk), the water (right in your backyard), and restaurants nearby.

  • Best Western Plus Hood River Inn

1108 E Marina Way Hood River, Oregon, 97031

Our second choice! The newest of the hotels. Right by the water but further from downtown (20 min walk)

  • Holiday Inn

2625 Cascade Ave, Hood River, Oregon 97031 United States

Furthest from downtown (30 min walk). Five minute drive or you can use the bus system

unfortunately, room blocks aren’t available in hood river :( But we’re planning on making these three hotels a shuttle stop so may be best to stay here or around here!

Other Options: Other hotels in the area would be hood river hotel, inn at the gorge, Columbia gorge hotel, Westcliff Villa, etc. There are also airbnbs you can rent but they book out fast. DISCLAIMER: if you are planning on booking an airbnb, try to stay in the Oregon side vs the Washington Side. We hear sometimes the bridge to get over has delays/closes down which means you may have to drive around the gorge to get back to hood river adding ~40 miles round trip.
